When it comes to social media, nobody can do it all, not even McDonald’s.
Sometimes I feel like there is no way to keep up with what we should or could be accomplishing in the social media arena. Blogs, mashups, events, podcasting, wikis can be overwhelming and nobody can do it all.
Our friends who were early to jump into social media on the corporate level sent us the Mashable article entitled “The 22 Step Social Media Marketing Plan.” There is a great line in the article that states, “for now, those neurotic about missing ‘what’s next’ can relax a bit.” The point being that new categories are not emerging as quickly as they once were. We now have some insight into what works, and for whom. Interestingly, big companies tend to focus on a few tools rather than working them all – a good social media marketing strategy for all of us.
